EPDM/silicone rubber in conveyor belt
Mine EPDM/silicone rubber conveyor belt
EPDM/silicone rubber is the rapid development of construction, metallurgy and other industries requires efficient transport of high-temperature materials, so the research on high-temperature resistant conveyor belt is particularly important. In this article, methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVQ) with excellent performance of high temperature and aging resistance is used to blend with EPDM, which is commonly used in the market to expand the temperature range of high temperature resistant conveyor belt covering rubber and improve the service life of high temperature resistant conveyor belt.In EPDM/silicone rubber , DCP was first used as the main vulcanizing agent, and N,N ‘-m-phenylenebismaleimide (hva-2) was used as the vulcanizing agent to investigate the effect of the vulcanizing system on the properties of pure EPDM or pure MVQ rubber. The results show that the curing system can significantly improve the crosslinking rate, reduce the burning time and promote the formation of crosslinking network. When DCP dosage is 2 parts and hva-2 dosage is 1.3 parts, pure EPDM and pure MVQ rubber materials have similar scorch time and the same crosslinking rate. That is to say, when the crosslinking degree of both components is similar, their crosslinking rates are the same, so synchronous vulcanization of both rubber materials can be achieved.
In EPDM/silicone rubber, partial vulcanizing agent DCP was added before heat treatment with rubber compound (the total amount of vulcanizing system in the rubber compound formula was the same), hoping to introduce in situ modification reaction in the rubber compound system, so as to achieve a more perfect crosslinking network structure between two rubber materials during heat treatment. The results showed that 1 part of DCP was added before heat treatment, and the mechanical properties at room temperature were improved, and the tensile strength was improved… More and more
